Happy New Year
What does the New Year mean for you?
For many people the new year is all about fresh starts, new goals and can just be a very exciting time.
Personally I love the opportunity to re-assess things in my life and to pinpoint what is really important.
2022 saw me finally get back in the fitness game for my riding which was great when I had the time.... once life got busy however that fell to the backburner once more. And life can be like that. It ebbs and flows with ups and downs, highs and lows and we just do the best we can. And that's okay.
I for one have stopped being so hard on myself when things might take a little longer, or if I have that extra biscuit, or just sit down to chill for 5 minutes. If we are kind to ourselves it means we have so much more to give other people and things in our lives.
So that being said, don't overdo your NEW YEAR, NEW YOU philosophy. Don't set yourself up to fail. Be realistic, be kind and above all make sure it MAKES YOU HAPPY. If not, why are you doing it??
And with that I want to wish you a fantastic New Year.
I am being optimistic that the weather gods will be kind and riding will be a thing for 2023.
